Angela Evelyn Bassett has been an American actress since the end of the 1980s. In the last decade Angela Evelyn has appeared in television and film. She's received numerous awards including the 16 NAACP Image Awards. Bassett was raised in Winston-Salem North Carolina, raised by an aunt who lived in New York New York. Her mother split with her father when she was approximately five. Bassett and her younger sister then relocated to St. Petersburg Florida with their mother. Bassett, while in high-school watched John Steinbeck's play Of Mice and Men with James Earl Jones and she made the decision to pursue acting. In 1980, Bassett was graduated from Yale University New Haven Connecticut with an undergraduate degree in African American studies. She earned a diploma from the Yale School of Drama. She dated Courtney B. Vance, another actress from Yale and they got married in 1997. Qualification: B.A. Master of Arts (Afro-American study) in the year 1980. An M.A. in Fine Arts (Drama) from Yale School of Drama School. Angela Bassett, who plays Ramonda the lead female character in the action adventure film I. Black Panther Wakanda forever 2022.
