Aurora

Aurora Aksnes is a Norwegian Singer and Songwriter. Born in Stavanger on the 15th of June 1996. She is professionally referred to as Aurora. Her name can be also stylized by the name AURORA. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves by Decca Records was released on May 15th, 2015 receiving rave reviews from bloggers and music critics as well as the media. She's recorded a variety of well-known covers, such as Half the World Away (by the band Oasis) for John Lewis' Christmas advert as well as Nature Boy (by Nat King Cole) that are widely loved. Katy Perry posted a video that she supported Runaway. The endorsement earned her some attention. Make it a special day for her. Aurora Aksnes' first musical memories involve finding a tiny piano hidden in the basement, and bewildered by the sound it produced. Parents May-Britt and Jan Oystein Aksnes encouraged her to study music, not for an occupation or pastime but for growth. To achieve this she started writing her own new compositions. In addition to Bjork She also cites Leonard Cohen as an influence. In response to her mother's suggestion that people shouldn't be trying to be famous through her songwriting, but instead recognize the significance of their lives and their impact on society. Piano was her first instrument when she was six. She started writing music when she turned nine. The family did not know until the age of fourteen. Aurora's fame was not her goal. As she says, she enjoys writing songs. She believes that music is the only method of feeling anything.
