Angela Evelyn Bassett was born in the US. Bassett, who was raised in Winston-Salem North Carolina by her aunt after being born in New York New York, is a well-known actor. Bassett was able to move with her younger older sister St. Petersburg Florida at five years old to be near their mother and father, who had separated from their dad.
