Angela Evelyn Bassett has been an American actor since the late 1980s. Since the late 80s, Angela Evelyn has worked on film and television. The actress has won several awards, among them 16 NAACP Image Awards. Bassett was raised living in Winston-Salem North Carolina, raised by an aunt and Uncle in New York New York. Bassett's mother had split from her father when she was approximately five. Her younger sister then relocated into St. Petersburg Florida with their mother. Bassett was a fan of James Earl Jones in John Steinbeck's Of Mice and Men play as she was still in high school, and realised that it was acting she would like to be doing. Following her graduation at Yale University New Haven Connecticut in the year 1980, she earned a Bachelor's Degree in African American Studies, she was able to obtain the Master's degree (1983) at the Yale School of Drama. At Yale she came across Courtney B. Vance a fellow actor and the two married in 1997. Qualification: B.A. BA. (Afro-American studies) in the year 1980. The Master of Fine Arts (Drama) from Yale School of Drama School. Angela Bassett, who plays Ramonda the female lead in the adventure action film I. Black Panther: Wakanda Forever (2022).
