Angela Evelyn Bassett has been an American actress since the end of the 1980s. In the film and television industry, she's known for her many nominations and awards. Bassett was raised in Winston-Salem North Carolina, raised by an aunt and Uncle in New York New York. Her mother split with her father when she was around five. Bassett and her younger sister relocated from the city of St. Petersburg Florida with their mother. Bassett was in high school when she was able to see James Earl Jones staring John Steinbeck play Of Mice and Men and was aware that her goal to become an actor come true. Following her graduation of Yale University New Haven Connecticut in 1980 with the Bachelor's degree of African American Studies, she went on to earn the Master's degree (1983) at the Yale School of Drama. While at Yale she came across Courtney B. Vance a actress who was a friend of hers. They got married in 1997. Qualification: B.A. Bachelor of Arts (Afro-American studies) in 1980. A Master of Fine Arts (Drama) from Yale School of Drama School. Angela Bassett has been cast in the lead role of Ramonda for the action adventure movie i.e. Black Panther Wakanda forever 2022.
