Angela Evelyn Bassett has been an American actress since late 1980s. Angela Evelyn is an American actor. Bassett was born at Winston-Salem North Carolina, raised by an Aunt in New York New York. Bassett along with her sister and their mother were moved into St. Petersburg Florida when Bassett was five. Their father had split from the mother of their children. Bassett was at the age of high school when she saw the James Earl Jones staring John Steinbeck play Of Mice and Men and realized that her desire to become an actor been realized. In 1980, Bassett was graduated from Yale University New Haven Connecticut with a degree in African American studies. She earned a diploma from The Yale School of Drama. While at Yale she came across Courtney B. Vance a fellow actor and the two married in 1997. Qualification: B.A. the Yale School of Drama granted the degree of Master of Fine Arts in African American Studies to Angela Basssett in the year. She was a student at the following schools: Jordan Park elementary school, Disston Middle School for seventh graders, Azalea Middle School for 8th and 9th grades and Boca Ciega High School.
